TRANSLATION
The term Translation has acquired different definitions and meanings all over the years. For our company, and with the extensive experience we have gained from our final translation projects after having carried out several pragmatic and linguistic studies, we understand by translation not only the formal process of converting a word, phrase, or text into another language that has a meaning equivalent to that of the original, but also the transmission from what is being said in a particular culture to another. From a general aspect, translating does not mean just a question of changing the name of a term into another one by looking it up in a dictionary of a correspondent target language (language in which the text is going to be translated), but it is primarily connected with the capacity of professional translators to find the way a particular term in a source language (language in which the text is originally written) can be expressed in a target text without misunderstanding or distorting its meaning.
